Trial Balloon: Pears

  • Just some pears in a bag, 3D gold Space Tweezers optional
  • Gave them a kickstart with some sauerkraut brine
  • It would not be wrong to pair these with a cheese plate


"Can I ferment these?"

Didn't know. But it felt right.

🍐Tiny Seckel pears, fresh, halved.

🧂Did some online research, then just went for it. 2% salt ferment, vac-sealed bag.

They turned out better than expected... crisp, ripe, sweet! 🧀Would pair well sliced with cheese & some walnuts.

Limited recipes for this online, but here are a couple, including a pickle because That's Cool Too.
